Renea is a recent transplant to the South Carolina midlands from the Texas panhandle that generally surrounds herself with creative chaos. She is an assemblage artist working primarily in collage, wire, and found objects (though nothing is really out of bounds). Creating something new out of unexpected elements brings her great joy. She is a certified archivist by occupation as well as vocation. She is the director of the Scott Hyde Archive and the Archive-At-Large. In addition to her personal archival projects, she is currently a student at the University of South Carolina working on a Museum Management Certificate. At UofSC she is the archivist for the Folklife Resource Center at McKissick Museum and on the User Services team at the South Caroliniana Library. Moving to South Carolina has inspired a new sense of adventure that has led to many outdoor jaunts and she has a mission to visit all 48 South Carolina State Parks in 2025.
